What If I Told You 60 Was Greater Than 73? ESPN Presents "73 and 60," Presented By R Kelly's Tiny Ass TV

I guarantee by half time of both the Lakers and Warriors games last night ESPN rallied their production team to start working on the 30 for 30. April 13, 2016 – one of the greatest days in NBA history. The storylines practically write themselves. 60 points on 50 shots for Kobe wrapping up his 20th year. 400 threes for Steph as they notch their 73rd win. Kobe, the last of the old guard (with the exception of Tim Duncan but he’s too boring for shit like this so who cares), goes out with a bang as Steph Curry and the new regime of greatness eclipses MJ and the Bulls. Like 2 ships passing in the night or the passing of the torch or some other overly used cliche that is perfect for these over dramatic documentaries. The 30 for 30 will begin with the undercard – the Celtics and Heat. Celtics down 62-38 at the half. Out score the Heat 25-5…FIVE…in the 3rd quarter to come back and win it. It set the tone for what would be a ridiculous and legendary night in the NBA.

We move on to the Lakers and Kobe’s pregame ceremony with Jack Nicholson and company…minutes later Steph Curry is hitting 5 threes in the first quarter and everyone realizes hes about to notch 400 along with the 73rd win. Quick flash back to Kobe who is now taking literally every single shot, air balls and all. Steph drops 46, Kobe drops 60.

And then, just when we all thought the night was coming to an end, we get R Kelly’s tweet – watching Kobe on a preposterously small television in a room that looks like a prison cell.

At like 1:30am, this night goes from a major basketball night to an immortal twitter night. From a couple great sports moments to a cultural phenomenon. R Kelly’s Tiny TV was the spark that ignited a powder keg. It was the assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand of last night’s basketball games. Suddenly nothing else mattered. Not Kobe. Not Steph. Not 73, not 60, not 400. The only thing that mattered was R Kelly looking like he was inside Room, kidnapped watching a 14 inch TV. The 30 for 30 concludes with Black Twitter absolutely DESTROYING R Kelly for one of the funniest pictures the internet has ever seen:

And the final scene of the 30 for 30 is the world trying to figure out who would kidnap R Kelly and lock him up but still allow him to tweet.

What a night.
