A Black Girl Yelled At And Grabbed Some White Hippie Kid With Dreads At San Francisco State Because He Was "Culturally Appropriating"

KRON - The 46-second video shows an African-American student confronting a white student on campus about his dreadlocks.

She tells him in the video that he is appropriating her culture and when he tries to walk away she obstructs his path.

“Yo, stop touching me right now,” the man says he tries to walk up the stairs. She then grabs his arm to keep him from leaving.

“I don’t need your disrespect,” he says as she releases her grip on him and he walks away.

The woman then notices someone recording the video and asks the unidentified cameraman why he was filming.

“Just for everyone’s safety,” the cameraman says before shutting off the camera.

And here’s a statement from San Francisco state:

We are aware of the video made of an incident which occurred on campus yesterday afternoon. University police were called to the scene of the incident when it occurred. The two individuals involved in the incident are not San Francisco State University employees. Further, no criminal charges have been pressed at this time to the University’s knowledge.

San Francisco State University promotes the rights of the campus community to engage in free speech, but does not condone behavior that impedes the safety or well-being of others. We are taking the matter seriously and will promptly and thoroughly investigate this incident through applicable University channels, including our campus student conduct procedures

Good for this dude who definitely was en route to play some hacky sack for standing up himself and not letting this chick bully him around. And make no mistake, that was just goon handing and bullying with no real effort to care about this kid’s interest or lack thereof in hearing what she had to say. The whole point of people like this woman is that they want the freedom to express themselves, that no one listens to her gripes. But you also see here how she couldn’t possibly care less about other people’s equally important liberties not to have to listen. Tolerance isn’t a one way street and you can’t force Shaggy here to take his time off from busting up the dreams of entrepreneurial haunted amusement park owners just because you think whatever bullshit you have to say is more important than his completely valid right not to give a shit. This wasn’t about cultural appropriation or any effort to make someone understand something, it was using political correctness as a means of intimidating some kid just because his existence offends her for whatever misguided reason. What an embarrassment on both her part and effete Kid N Play’s.

Also am I crazy or was she the only one literally touching everyone and everything, including the camera of this hero filming to keep the story from somehow getting twisted to get someone in trouble, while she’s still complaining about him putting a hand on her? Like this kid seems like the exact demo who might be sensitive to what she had to say and the message was so poorly conveyed and aggressive that she made this little stoner dude flip his lid. It’s such a testament to how loathsome of a human being we’re dealing with here.
