How Had I Not Heard Of The Movie "Triple 9" Until Yesterday?

At the end of last night’s “The People vs OJ Simpson” (a very bad show. I was on the fence at first, I am very off the fence now. It’s an entertaining story, obviously, but the acting is downright abysmal) I saw a quick spot for this new movie, “Triple 9.” Thinking it looked pretty good, I went to check out the red band trailer and saw that it comes out in like three weeks.

Does “Triple 9″ have the worst marketing team of all time? How in the world have I not heard about this movie and it comes out this month? This thing looks fantastic and right up my — well, everyone’s — alley. Gritty crime drama with crazy drug lords and Kate Winslet looking like the human torturing version of Cruella DeVille? Sign me all the way up. This has a “Sicario” feel to it only with Marty Hart, of “True Detective” fame, being the guy kinda hunting them down/kinda not giving a shit.

I am all about that. Really, for a big move trailer guy and a dude who visits traileraddict bi-weekly when I want to make it look like I’m doing work, I am offended that I haven’t heard of this before last night. Get your shit together, “Triple 9.” I should have pre-ordered my tickets for this weeks ago.
