DePaul University Hosting "Drop The Puck On Cancer" Night On February 20th

The Event

Dropping the Puck on Cancer–DePaul will hold various fundraising events throughout the winter leading up to our main event on February 20, 2016: a full contact/full equipment hockey game played between two DePaul University Fraternities (Sigma Chi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon) at West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, IL. Puck drop will be at 4:00pm. Ticketholders for the event will meet on DePaul’s campus for a rally in the morning and will be bussed over to the arena. In terms of ticket sales, tickets will be $20 each and we are shooting somewhere upwards of around 1,000 attendees.

Great event for a great cause. There’s no better way to spend your Saturday afternoon then coming out to the rink, drinking, and watching some hockey. You can do all of that on February 20th and do it to help kick cancer’s ass. “Drop The Puck On Cancer” is a National event, and the Chicago version is being put on by the DePaul Chapters of Sigma Chi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternities. Neither team has asked me to play or coach, which seems like a mistake, but maybe they don’t care about winning since it’s for charity. I’m going to attend anyways and I hope to see lots of hockey stoolies in attendance. This the type of event you guys always support and that’s what makes you the best group of heathen readers on the internet.

If you can’t make it to the game, but want to donate to the cause, our guy Jack has set up a gofundme page for the event. Jack is growing a beard and already looks like Brent Burns.
