P.K. Subban Dresses Up As Jaromir Jagr, Shuts Down The Skills Competition
Why don’t we all step into the circle of trust real quick and let’s be honest with one another here.
There’s only one real reason to watch the NHL Skills Competition. The Fastest Skater is boring, the Hardest Shot is played out, and the obstacle course thing they do is pointless when you have Steven Stamkos shanking shots from 6 feet out.
The Breakaway Challenge is the only true form of entertainment the Skills Comp offers and this year’s did not disappoint. All thanks to the man we so rarely refer to as Pernell Karl.
Subban not only stole the show, but managed to pay homage in one of the greats, Jaromir Jagr, while doing so.
I truly don’t understand how you can hate PK. Unless you’re a Racist like KFC, or a diehard B’s fan like Rear Ad, I just find it impossible to dislike the guy. Always smiling, always enjoying himself, one of the league’s best, AND can dress to the nines. The total package. You hate him cause you ain’t him.
The best part of PK is that him dressing up as Jags wasn’t even his most impressive moment of the night. His first of two attempts included a few tricks right out of Dwayne Robertson’s repertoire.
Thirteen [count em] THIRTEEN touches.
Not the hardest to do but not the easiest either. Didn’t end up going in but good job good effort from your boy.
With tomorrow being the All Star game expect some more puck talk from myself, Jordie, or Chief in the near future. Best most watered down weekend in hockey baby!
PS – Seriously, the guy’s name is PERNELL KARL, why don’t we talk about this more often?
