Starlin Castro Is Still In The Dominican Republic

A few week’s ago I pointed out that Starlin Castro was working out in the Dominican Republic and that this is a major issue. Aside from the things about the DR that you are all thinking and I’m not going to write here, Starlin almost always gets in trouble when he goes back to the DR. He’s never been charged with anything but being tied to a shooting once, is one time too many.

Now we see that he’s still there and even though we should be happy that he’s getting his work in, he should be on a real field or training facility. If you’re the starting second basemen for the New York Yankees, you workout at their state of the art facilities. You don’t take BP thrown be god knows who, while standing on a bathmat, in a stadium that looks perfect for a murder. This has broken ankle written all over it.

The only positive here is that his lackadaisical approach to fielding grounders could make it feel like Cano never left.
