And Now We Wait

Look at that storm, just surrounding us. Do you think it’s become self aware? It’s as if it’s hunting us like we’re it’s prey, just waiting to pounce and kill us all.

How big is this storm going to be? I’ll let the Capital Weather Gang answer this one:

Life threatening is a good way to put it. We’re all gonna die. Have I poured a bloody? You’re damn right I have. There’s approximately 500% chance my house loses power. We have the most rag-tag power lines coming into the house, I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t have power again until June.

Let’s see what else they are saying:

A dangerous and historic snowstorm is closing in on the D.C. area. It is one we will remember for years if not generations and will likely take many days to recover from.

Good! Great! Grand! Wonderful! NO YELLING ON THE BUS!

A blizzard warning takes effect at 3 p.m. and continues through early Sunday morning.  Light snow begins around midday and becomes heavier by the late afternoon.  Wherever you are by late afternoon, plan to be there until at least Sunday or Monday. Overnight, the snow really starts to rip, and winds intensify.  Through Saturday, the combination of strong winds and heavy snow may produce whiteout conditions which make travel difficult to impossible.

“This is a storm that is destined  to place in the top 5 in D.C. history,” says Wes Junker, Capital Weather Gang’s winter weather expert.  “The only question is where on the list we end up.”

So this shit is the real deal Bradley Beal. The good news is I’ve gotten reports that most of the Clarendon bars are staying open. Whitlows and Tito are, I know Citizen Burger got their staff hotel rooms so they could stay open. I mean, if there was ever a time to find a girl who wants to Netflix and Chill, this is the time.

PS: So cute that they officially named it #Snowzilla. I guess it takes heat off of TJ Oshie when the news people have to report how many people died in this thing. Would suck for Oshie for the rest of his life to have to hear about the family whose roof collapsed during TJSnowshie.
