Aroldis Chapman Won't Face Charges

This is just coming out but it looks like Aroldis Chapman won’t face charges for going into his garage and firing off a few rounds out of frustration. After a thorough investigation, it was determined that Chapman didn’t hit his girlfriend and although he may have fired off a few rounds, it’s Florida. If this happened in any other state it probably would’ve been a bigger issue but this is the most boring thing to happen in Florida in years. Add in that the girlfriend didn’t want to press charges and the prosecutor really had nothing.

This means that the only damage to come out of this is that the Dodgers passed on the hardest throwing person in the world because they didn’t trust the legal system. Meanwhile the Yankees put their trust in our country and are reaping the benefits. While MLB could still lay down some form of punishment, it does not seem likely because there is very little evidence for their own investigation and no laws seem to be broken.

In terms of what this means for The Yankees, it means that Chapman should be eligible all season. This opens up the possibility of Miller being traded, but without the right starter available, it seem unlikely to happen. Instead we will have the most dominant bullpen in the history of the game, and need them to carry a lackluster rotation.

PS: Package Miller and Gardner for a starter and sign Cespedes and I’ll personally bail KFC out of jail when he goes on a rampage.
