TMZ - The WPD now says there was a 3 car crash at 4:18 PM on Thursday — and NECN reporter Kathryn Sotnik says the responding officer confirmed one of the windows was smashed. However, Sotnik says she spoke with a family member of one of the women involved in the crash — who said she did not recall ever seeing a Patriots player at the scene. We’ve reached out to Fleming multiple times — so far, no word back.

Oh Darius Fleming won’t get back to TMZ? I wonder why? Maybe because you called him a liar and compared him to Manti Te’o an hour ago? Or maybe he is at practice getting ready for the AFC title game? TMZ should call Ben Volin and compare notes instead. I’m sure they’d figure out a way to besmirch his name some more.

Gotta love Volin saying he’s not rushing to judgement on twitter after basically tweeting out that he agreed with TMZ and thinks Fleming lied 2 seconds earlier.  And spare me the mumbo jumbo about how you were just doing your job. Volin knew exactly how this looked.  He was saying it without directly saying it.  He was being an internet ambulance chaser just like TMZ.  Dying to be the first one to break an anti Patriot story for clicks instead of waiting for the facts to play out.  I guess I missed this day of Journalism school. Throw out accusations, and then pretend you didn’t.

Listen here is what Ben Volin has yet to figure out. It doesn’t matter if Fleming was lying or not. (He wasn’t) It doesn’t matter whether the Walpole police was just covering his ass or not.  (The weren’t) What matters is he is a New England Patriot. We have a big game coming up. If he says he saved somebody’s life he saved somebody’s life. Get with the program Volin. Stop trying to bring down this franchise. There is no room in this town for carpetbagging muckrakers. Stop trying to stir the pot. This isn’t the Miami Dolphins anymore. We don’t get bullied by the media. We bully the media. Goodell couldn’t bring this franchise down. Kravitz couldn’t do it.
