A Simpsons Writer Says They Changed A Joke About The Knicks Stinking To The Sixers Stinking Because Of Kristaps Porzingis
See, that is what we call progress folks. Sure The Simpsons has been washed up for more than a decade now, but so have the Knicks. In fact, once the Simpsons started going downhill, so did the Knicks. Both had a glimmer of turning things around (The Simpsons movie, a playoff run in 2013), but still lots of sadness for both franchises. I don’t know who was the Isiah figure that ruined The Simpsons, but I don’t see a 7’3″ Latvian saving them from the abyss.
Going from a punchline to no longer a punchline is a start. Baby steps. Now we get to laugh at Philly until they have an entire roster of high lottery picks. Losers*!!!
*Yes, I waited for today’s painful MLK marathon to finish before posting this blog. Seeing Ish Smith kill your team while also missing a billion shots was typical Knicks. And Yung Kristaps going down just by touching a hopeless Sixer has me holding my breath until the next time he plays without a limp. Big men and foot injuries is a scary, scary combo.
