Mort Is Stepping Away From ESPN Because He Has Throat Cancer

(Source) — ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen has been diagnosed with a Stage IV throat cancer and will temporarily step away from his role at the network.

Let me say loud and clear, I hope Chris Mortensen does not die. I really and truly do. I don’t wish death or cancer on people who are used as puppets by the NFL, I save that kind of ill will for terrorists and child predators. Mort may be the target of a lot of hate but I don’t actually want him to suffer and die. I’m so hoping for Mort’s recovery that I’m not even going to mention that it’s kind of selfish to get cancer and force all the Patriots fans to stop being mean to you and instead hope for your recovery. Wouldn’t even think of saying it. So I’m just gonna wish you the best. Get well soon, Mort. We’ll put this feud on pause.
