A Guy Remade The Facility Level From GoldenEye To Show What It Would Look Like Now And It's a 10/10

Gamezone - Looking back at the latter half of 2015, it was a revealing time for the 1997 classic, GoldenEye. Microsoft’s head of Xbox revealed that the company had tried to get their hands on the rights to Goldeneye multiple times, but it was simply too difficulty. In addition to that, former developers at Rare revealed that Nintendo had wanted the game to be less violent and more ‘family-friendly.’ As if to rub salt in the wounds over the fact that Microsoft never got the rights to the game or that we simply haven’t seen an updated version of the game, YouTuber Jude Wilson uploaded a video recreating the game in Unreal Engine 4. Wilson recreated the Facility level from the game as part of an assignment for his master’s degree. The recreation is a mix of the N64 game’s original layout combined with the film’s look and feel.  Check it out in the video below:

Hey Microsoft- figure it the fuck out! There is ONE game that could get me to buy a next gen console, and that game is GoldenEye. Shit, I’d buy one of those thousand dollar Oculus masks for it, and I don’t even know how those things work. Give me all the same levels, but most importantly, make it as simple yet fun as the original. That’s my main problem with video games these days, the complication of it all. You got 3 joy sticks, 12 buttons, and just way too much going on. All you need for GoldenEye is a button to change weapons, a button to shoot, a button to reload, and a button to aim. Everything else is pure overkill.

PS: I’ve long said that if I won the lottery I’d build the Facility level and a couple other levels and we’d play real life GoldenEye paintball or airsoft. You have my word. This will happen when I win tonight.

PS: If you use OddJob you’re an asshole. But then again if you allow your friends to use OddJob you’re a bitch who hangs out with assholes who use OddJob.
