Starlin Castro Put Out A Workout Video That Terrifies Me

Seeing the newly acquired player with a history of questionable work ethic actually working out in the offseason should be a good thing. My problem isn’t that he is working out or even that he is lifting what appears to be almost no weight. My problem is where he’s working out.

When we made this trade, I reached out to Big Cat and asked for the scouting report. He told me we would fall in love with Castro in spite of the times he will let us down but under no circumstances should we let him go back to the Dominican Republic. Apparently Theo told him he had to move to Arizona to train because every time he goes to the DR one of his friends shoots a gun off. Not exactly the situation you want your new starting 2nd baseman in.

I know he moved to Tampa recently but I don’t think this is Tampa. Nothing screams “Dominican Republic” more than a guy wearing designer jeans in a gym.

PS: I love this guy who definitely said “Hey you’re not going to need that Cubs stuff anymore so can I hold it?”
