Drake's New Team: Pepperdine Hoops?

Don’t look now, but Biggest Sports Fan Ever Drake has a new favorite team…and it’s one you never saw coming.

Pepperdine basketball?

Ok at least there’s a good reason for this one.

On the surface it seems very strange that hip-hop’s most recognizable artist right now is attending a game at the small Pepperdine college. But then you find out Drake is good friends with Lamond Murray, a player on the team.

“One of the greatest people in my life plays for this team,” Drake said at the game. “Go Waves.”

Drake’s presence inspired Murray to go off as he had career highs of 31 points and 10 rebounds, leading his team to a 81-76 win over Pacific. As a spectator in the stands, Drake started doing his Hotline Bling dance to celebrate.
