Kmarko's NBA DraftKings Picks - December 7
Welcome back to the daily DraftKings picks where we try to get super rich playing daily fantasy basketball. As usual I’ll do a brief recap of my lineups from the week before then throw out some picks that I’m brainstorming for this weekend, and hopefully get some good feedback/tips/picks from you guys either in the comment section or on Twitter @kmarkobarstool.
Really struggling with my NBA lineups this year. Barely even breaking even on a nightly basis, let alone “getting rich” like I have up there in my intro. The blog picks have been pretty solid, hitting 2 out of a 3 almost every time (value plays have been major duds lately though) – but when it comes to building the rest of my lineups, I’m just shitting the bed.
Either this week is the week I finally get going, or else it’s going to be a long cold Christmas with nobody who knows me getting any gifts from Santa Claus.
C Andre Drummond $9.3K
The guys is just a beast who refuses to slow down…and just as importantly, they refuse to raise his price to elite levels. Has just as much upside (if not more) as the guys who are priced over $10K daily, and once again he has a great matchup against the Hornets without Al Jefferson. 20-20 threat every time he steps on the floor, and I have no problem making Drummond my big money play at 9.3 instead of paying all the way up for Brow.
Of course, Anthony Davis is also a phenomenal play tonight. But if I’m only paying for one in tournament lineups, I’ll save a little cash with AD.
PG Isaiah Thomas $7.7K
Kyle Lowry is the chalk PG play of the night, coming off a 65 pointer with a nice juicy matchup against the Lakers. Can’t argue with any of that, but I’ll be looking $1.2K cheaper at a guy with just as much upside and an even better matchup. IT3 going up against the Pelicans, AKA the worst team in the league at guarding the point guard, AKA the team giving up 44+ points a game to opposing PGs. Thomas has been hot starting in place of Marcus Smart, and there’s a chance Avery Bradley misses tonight’s game which gives him even more reign over the offense. All those things point towards a nice little flames graphic next to his name and a chance to challenge Lowry and Lillard as top scoring PG of the night.
Other good options in this price range: Brandon Knight, Pau Gasol, Reggie Jackson
VALUE PLAY G – Jeremy Lin $4.1K
There are a lot of PGs I like tonight, so luckily DraftKings gives you 3 separate slots that you can fit one into. Raymond Felton has been playing great lately and has another shot at big minutes tonight with Harris and Barea hurt. But he has been highly owned on a nightly basis, so if ends up with 20 points at 35-40% owned you won’t be in a great spot in tourneys. For a high risk high reward guy in the same price range, I’m going to bring back LINSANITY…he’s rarely owned more than 5% (mostly because he’s just not very good), but with Kemba sick and highly doubtful tonight, he should be running the show getting all the minutes he can handle. Batum has a great opportunity also, but is matched up with KCP who is a great defender…again, Lin is risky, but for $4.1K, he could be worth a shot.
Other value plays: Raymond Felton, Alex Len, OJ Mayo
..
That’s it for me, good luck tonight. Tweet me @kmarkobarstool with your picks or to talk shit, whatever. Also if you’re depositing to play make sure to use my referral and we’ll both get hooked up with some stuff.
