Giants Fan Arrested For Trying To Burn A $26,000 Tampa Bay Bucs Flag Outside The Bucs Headquarters

NYDN – The Giants rebounded Sunday with a win over the Bucs in Tampa, and one Big Blue supporter decided to celebrate in blatantly illegal fashion. A Giants fan named Daniel Justin Raboni, 32, of North Palm Beach, Fla., was arrested Sunday night after trying to set fire to a massive, 80-by-50 foot Bucs flag at the team headquarters, police said. The flag costs $26,000 and hangs from a 15-foot pole at One Buccaneer Place, the Tampa Tribune reports. There was one problem, though. The flag was made of fire-retardant material, according to police, so Raboni was only able to melt a small portion of it. Raboni faces charges of criminal mischief and possession of marijuana. He was being held at Hillsborough County Jail on $2,500 bond.

Love this dude. Love everything about him. This is what sports is all about. This is what it means to be a fan. Its Sunday. The Giants just one. You’re all fucked up. What better way to celebrate a big W than to head over the the Bucs headquarters and try to burn down a flag the size of a basketball court? We need more of this shit in the sports world. I’m sick of participation trophies and good sportsmanship. I dont want Danny Raboni running around Palm Beach patting Tampa Bay fans on the back. I want his stoned ass to stand on the front lawn of Buccaneers HQ with a $26,000 flag burning in the background. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?? IS THIS NOT WHY YOU ARE HERE!? I mean just imagine the scene with this idiot standing over a gigantic 80 by 50 conflagration? God I love sports.

Next time we need a little better execution but his heart is in the right place.

PS – How about the fact that this flag A) Cost 26 grand and B) is flame retardant. They legit thought of everything when they made that flag huh?
