Billy Bob Thornton Returns For His Role In Bad Santa 2
Variety – Miramax and Broad Green Pictures announced that Billy Bob Thornton will reprise his role as Willie Soke in “Bad Santa 2.” Geyer Kosinski will produce. Miramax will partner with Broad Green Pictures to co-finance and co-produce. Broad Green will distribute in the U.S. during the 2016 holiday season. Sierra/Affinity will handle foreign sales with sales starting at the upcoming American Film Market. “We’ve been waiting far too long to see Billy Bob’s Willie Soke mess with the holiday season in his own unique way,” said Zanne Devine of Miramax. David Thwaites will oversee the project for Miramax and Victor Moyers for Broad Green Pictures. Principal photography will commence in January in Montreal. The 2003 original grossed $60 million domestically on a budget of $23 million. Thornton was last seen on season one of “Fargo.”
The most important part of the funniest Christmas movie ever returning for the sequel. Christmas come early folks. Bad Santa is one of the funniest films of all time. Even outside the “Chistmas movie” bubble. Its that hilarious. Its an all time classic and one of the few movies where I laugh out loud throughout the whole thing.
I wonder if we’re gonna get a grown up version of Therman Murman? That was over 12 year ago. This is what he looks like now:
I’ll be perfectly honest, I expected him to look WAY different. Those child actors always blow you away with the “Where are they now?” pics. I expected Thurman Merman to be skinny as fuck, drowning in pussy. Nope. He’s basically the same exact person except he’s got glasses. They should just run it back with him and have him talking about wooden pickles and lettuce on sandwiches as a 22 year old. Just keep it exactly the same but 12 years later.
