Marco Rubio On FSU: "There Has To Be A School Where People Who Can't Get Into Florida Go To College"

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio may be running for president, but he’s not sitting on the fence on this one. Rather than adopting a neutral stance on the Florida-Florida State situation in his home state, the University of Florida alum fired a mighty shot at Florida State on Monday.

Speaking to Iowa’s KXNO 1460 AM:

“Look, I don’t have anything against Florida State. I think there has to be a school where people who can’t get into Florida can go to college.”

..

Listen I do not give a shit what your politics are, what side of the aisle you fall on, if you think liberals are ruining the world, if you think conservatives are the devil – if you can’t respect Marco Rubio using his Presidential campaign platform to bitch slap Florida State in the face right here then you’re wrong plain and simple.

And that’s nothing against FSU, that could be any team substituted in there. A Michigan guy saying that about Ohio State, an Alabama guy saying that about Auburn, vice versa, whatever, literally anyone. The point is any politician having the balls to publicly take a shit down an entire school’s throat in this day and age when everyone is so PC and sensitive is impressive as hell. I mean even “he’s so great because he’s not afraid to say anything” Donald Trump wouldn’t pick a winner for Iowa/Iowa State in Iowa. Marco Rubio just called Florida State a safety school whose student body is basically mentally handicapped. And knowing you have to deal with #FSUTwitter?!? The biggest meanest college sports army on the internet? Holy shit. Balls of steel.

Does that qualify you to be the President of the United States, no it does not. But Marco Rubio, I can offer you something even better – my respect for your hot college takes.
