'Sucker Shit. Probably Gonna Get Cut Soon' - De'Vondre Campbell Refused To Play Last Night, Told The 49ers He Was Done And Walked Off The Field

The assumption here is Campbell is pissed that Greenlaw came back and immediately got his spot back. Welcome to pro sports, I guess? For those who don't remember, Dre Greenlaw tore his Achilles running off the sidelines in the Super Bowl. More proof that the injury can happen to anyone on camera, just trust me. 

Terrible injury because of the rehab process. You never feel 100% again, no matter what. You gotta figure out how to walk again, let alone flying around on a football field. Anyways, I say all that for the leadup to what happened last night. The 49ers got Greenlaw back and while somehow still in the playoff hunt, threw him right out there. A win against the Rams and you set yourself up for a chance to win the NFC West. 

Don't tell De'Vondre Campbell that though. Losing your job sucks. Losing your spot sucks. But, again, it's pro sports here. It's not like they brought in some other guy who doesn't know shit about your position and put him there. It's not like Dre Greenlaw is pretending to know what he's doing just to get a spot. 

But nothing and I mean nothing shows you're all in on helping your team like refusing to play. Maybe he didn't like the pouring rain in the first half? Perhaps he was bored out of his goddamn mind because that game sucked. But either way the dude quit on his team and everyone is sick of his shit. Make you wonder how fast he gets cut. This is where we also need the camera and reaction of Campbell telling Shanahan he's not going in. There's cameras and mic's everywhere these days. Give us the uncensored reaction in the locker room and the sidelines when that happened.
