Accountability: Deebo Samuel Tweets Out That He Needs The Ball More, Deletes It After Being Reminded He's Leading The Team In Drops

Lost in the AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts fight/pissing match/whatever is going on there, we have Deebo Samuel and the 49ers doing their own thing. The man tweeted out that he's not struggling, he just needs the ball. Community notes tells him he's leading the team in drops before he deletes tweet. What does he do? What every great wide receiver does. Blame others: 

Everyone saw what they saw! He doesn't take it back except for deleting it! Personally, I love it. I say it all the time when wide receivers start talking, it's the most entertaining thing in NFL off the field. You never know who they'll blame, what they'll say or anything like that. Facts don't matter to them. You won't see an offensive lineman doing situps in his driveway with his agent. That's only a wide receiver. 

Look, it's not a secret that the 49ers are one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year. Basically every important player has been hurt. They've blown leads. Even all the backup running backs are getting hurt. This was a team that everyone expected to run away with the NFC West, be in a Super Bowl, all that stuff. So, yeah, I get why people are pissed. But it takes a special kind of mindset to double down on it all like Deebo. Respect him for that. Sign of greatness.
