Jay-Z Has Been Accused Of Raping A Teenage Girl Along With Diddy, Which He Is Vehemently Denying, And It's Looking Like The Entire Hip Hop Industry Needs To Be Burned To The Ground

NBC - Jay-Z, the star rapper and entrepreneur whose real name is Shawn Carter, was accused in a lawsuit Sunday of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 allegedly along with Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The anonymous accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” said the assault happened after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.

The federal lawsuit was originally filed in October in the Southern District of New York, listing Combs as a defendant. It was refiled Sunday to include Carter.

Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who filed the suit, did not comment.

"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?" Carter said in a statement to NBC News.

"These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case."

Buzbee has filed several lawsuits in recent months — all have withheld their complainants’ names — accusing Combs of assault and rape. This is the first suit in which he has named another high-profile defendant.

This dropped late yesterday afternoon on NBC, and sent shockwaves over the internet.

Jay-Z's team quickly released a statement.

Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the more than 1,000 accusers in the P Diddy lawsuit, is responsible for this suit.

Tony is telling Jay-Z, and the world, that this is not some publicity stunt, and that he and his client will not be intimidated.

Regarding the Jay Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him. Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve. As far as the allegations in the complaint filed, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.

The two biggest names in rap history- Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs- are now being dragged through the mud like every other celebrity who thought their money and power would protect them from accountability.

And the worst part?

It's not some petty backstage drama or another beef over who’s the real king of New York. No, this time it's something way worse, something so vile that even the biggest rap fans are wondering if we’ve been jamming to the wrong tunes for the past 20 years.

(Sidebar - are we going to be able to listen to anybody's music from growing up soon?)

There has been innuendo for the better part of this past year, once things started bubbling over for Diddy, that Jay Z would be the next domino to fall. Mainly from Jaguar Wright,

And 50 Cent.

Piers Morgan was forced to read an on-air apology after having Jaguar Wright on his show to proclaim that "Jay Z is a bigger monster than Diddy."

Nicki Minaj claimed that Jay Z was trying to shine the spotlight on her, along with his friends in the industry, to distract the public from his ties with Diddy.

Jay-Z, the self-proclaimed “King of New York,” now finds himself entangled in a lawsuit where a 13-year-old girl accuses him and Diddy of raping her at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party. A lawsuit that’s being led by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, who’s already made a name for himself taking down Deshaun Watson, and filing a massive number of individual suits against Combs (not class-action).

But now, Buzbee is going for the biggest fish in the pond, and it’s clear this is no joke.

Jay-Z’s response? Classic Jay-Z. He’s calling Buzbee a “fraud” and trying to turn the tables by accusing the lawyer of blackmail. He even goes so far as to demand Buzbee file a criminal complaint, because these allegations are so heinous that they demand real justice.

This isn't just some small-time dispute. This is an allegation so disgusting that even his wife Beyoncé might be second-guessing her life choices. The way Jay-Z is handling this- all tough talk, no substance, might just be the beginning of his downfall.

But the real kicker here is Diddy, who’s already been denied bail by the third judge as he sits in a Brooklyn jail waiting for his sex trafficking trial. If you didn’t think Diddy’s empire was crumbling before, it sure as hell is now.

John Rich blogged this last week -

This is the same guy who’s been rubbing elbows with the elite, throwing parties like he’s invincible. And now? He’s a dead man walking. The degree of damaging information he has, and who he has it on, and the fact that you know the federal authorities are dangling reduced charges and/or immunity in front of Combs in exchange for telling them that information makes Combs radioactive. And Buzbee’s got him by the balls, and considering the case against him includes accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering, Diddy’s not going to waltz out of this one. In either direction. Just like his aptly titled debut album,

But back to Jay Z. This is a guy who has been connected to scandal for decades, and it’s almost like the world just turned a blind eye until now.

The alleged relationship with Aaliyah when she was just 15? The Foxy Brown shit? And the alleged Beyonce and Rihanna stuff that's been talked about for years.

(Sidebar - when the Jay Z rumblings really began early in the fall, Drake took to social media to post some cryptic shots on instagram leaving fans to connect the dots. This was after Jay Z and Roc Nation and The NFL announced Kendrick Lamar performing at the Super Bowl)

And don't forget about the time Beyonce's little sister Solange exploded on Jay Z in an elevator and had to be pulled off and held back from attacking him over something…

And then there's this post on Instagram which Beyonce's mom liked.

Here was Jay Z on Charlie Rose back in 2007 slipping up and admitting he first met and started talking to Beyonce when she was only 16. Not 19.

And let's not forget how close Jiggaman and R Kelly were.

Somehow it gets totally forgotten that the two of them did not one, but TWO full albums together - the Best of Both Worlds series, AND a full world tour together.

This, after producing this song, "Guilty Until Proven Innocent", together for Jay'z Dynasty album.

Now, finally, after dodging the bullet for years, Jay-Z’s name is squarely in the crosshairs. This isn’t some PR stunt or ‘hot take’, it’s real, and it’s tragic. This is a man who, up until now, has managed to keep his reputation largely untarnished. The notion that his actions- or at the very least, his association with people like R. Kelly have remained not talked about is insane. Especially given the power he has accumulated over the last ten years. Think about it, this guy talked to the President weekly, he's on the board of the NFL, he's on the board of the biggest live music and entertainment company on the planet Roc Nation/LIve Nation, he's best buds with the top 1% of the top 1%.

Again, 50 Cent was way out ahead of this, telling us that as soon as the Diddy allegations and charges began, that Jay Z would be the next to fall .

As somebody who's been affiliated with all the same people, and who has been yelling at us for ten years that Diddy was a bad dude, 50 Cent has earned some credibility when it comes to this stuff.

And now it appears as though it's about to start.

I get that this is all alleged; big emphasis on alleged, but what the fuck man. Was our entire childhood growing up listening to music just all one big cesspool?

As time goes on, it seems as though the bigger the name, the prestige, and the numbers- the worse the person. First R Kelly. Then Diddy. Now Jay Z? What the fuck man?

And why, if this kind of terrible stuff ALLEGEDLY went on for years and years, and was so known about, are we just becoming concerned now? Why is shit just hitting the fan now? 20+ years later.

Giphy Images.

I really hope this shit is untrue. For multiple reasons. For any alleged victims sakes. And because the last thing we need is another fallen superstar. We are running out of music from yesteryear that we are going to be able to hear without cringing or feeling guilty about listening to.
