Here's A Free Content Idea For Dave: Place A Huge Bet And Become An "Ohio State Fan" For The College Football Playoff

Alright, I'll say it: the Rundown could've been way worse. But that's only if I'm speaking for me and Big Ev. If I were speaking for 80,000+  fans of Barstool that have viewed it in the last 12 hours, it could've been 100x better. And that's only if I'm being conservative on my estimate.

Now don't get me wrong, in theory, the idea of speaking for 17 straight minutes while the Ohio State fans that ran their mouth nonstop for the last 10 months sat there without even as much making a peep the entire show is very funny. I would even call the idea of it hilarious. But the practicality of it? Hearing Dave read two straight ads off the top....followed by fumbling through an 11 minute news article...was better in concept than actual reality. Sounds like another idea he recently had. First of all, while he was once very good at putting words on paper, he's not exactly Einstein when it comes to taking them from paper and saying them out loud. But second of all, I couldn't believe I got off that easy. (Plus, I'd already read the article last week!)

The fact of the matter is my stomach was in knots from the time on Sunday morning I was told I was on the Rundown all the way through the moment he got up and left us in the chairs without having said a word. I thought I was going to have to answer to EVERYTHING. From how I badgered him relentlessly for 5 months begging him to take a salary bet (and making me thank him for not doing so) to reporting that Will Howard said he'd "Go For 3" if he could......only for Dave to come back with something along the lines of Will ending up only going for 2 (interceptions), but Michigan went for 4 (straight wins). I thought he'd have (had Austin) make a compilation of my millions of videos, tweets, and blogs calling out him and Michigan, only to end with the fact that I paid $500 to go to The Game and watch the worst loss in the history of sports.

Oh, and during all that Jack Sawyer talk, I was nervous he may mention how Jack went to the school I taught at and how it makes sense why he's all bark, no bite....he was taught that by Mr. Ohio's Tate himself! Point being, I thought I was going to have to answer the bell, but I got to sit there in silence. The old teacher in me gives his performance a B- compared to the rest of the class, but knowing his potential and how great it could've been, I had to give him a D on the assignment.

Anyways, point being, the guy clearly has talent...he just needs a little prodding in the ideas department these days (NYC vote, Silent Rundown, etc). Here's a free one that I said in the Gambling Cave the other day: he should become an Ohio State fan in the playoff. Place one of his Big Game Hunter bets on the Buckeyes (+475, best odds yet), say that since Michigan isn't in the field, they can beat anyone, and then become Buckeye Dave on stream with me and Big Ev for the playoff run (maybe even bring in Connor Stalions for Good Luck). It's one of those rare Win / Win / Win / Wins......where if Ohio State does win, he gets a million bucks. He also gets to say that Michigan is the "Back-to-Back National Champion" since they beat us. If they lose, he gets to trash Ohio State once again. All while the livestreams (although we missed what would've been the best and most viewed in company history), would be electric as me and Big Ev try to block out Dave sarcastically cheering for Ohio State while we really cheer for Ohio State. Do we want to win and have to deal with Buckeye Dave another week and the idea of him winning a million dollars and wearing the crown for another year, or do we want to lose and put us out of our misery? The ultimate prisoners dilemma.

Dave would be able to dig deep into his troll bag, over and over and over again since there would be potentially 4 games over the course of a month. He's currently outside of the College Football Content for the rest of the year, but this move would put him front and center as he gets to make off-hand comments about Ryan Day, toughness, and Michigan Men while fake cheering for Ohio State.

Alright, that's all I got. I can't say one word about Michigan anymore, but at least I can help out the company a bit.
