Jarvis Brownlee Of The Titans Said "Guys Let The Cold Get To Them" After Their Embarrassing Loss To The Commanders In 40 Degree Temperatures

Man oh man have we heard some pathetic excuses this week, and it's only Monday! If you thought "I thought the airport had clear" or "I thought arriving 75 minutes before my flight was enough time" were bad looks. But Jarvis Brownlee trumped those.

Brownlee told reporters that he thinks the COLD in Landover, Maryland got to the Titans. Yes, you heard that correct. The frigid 40 degree temperatures at gametime, that was enough to throw the Titans off their game and allow for their incredibly slow start where the Commanders did anything they wanted against them. Does Brownlee know this is Maryland and not Buffalo? Isn't the weather in Nashville similar to the weather in Maryland this time of year? I mean we saw the snowstorm for Bills - Niners last night, this was literally not even close to that. Lets compare the weather in the two cities.

Sunday we saw a high of 43 in Landover and a high of 46 in Nashville. You're saying that those 3 degrees threw you out of wack that easy? It's December 1st, you know there will be a chill in the air, how did that come as a surprise to you? It's also 40 degrees at kickoff, it's not 22. Like Stringer Bell said, "no one gives a FUCK about a 40 degree day."  I mean how can you look at a reporter in the eyes and say "yeah it was cold, threw us off our game." You have access to a weather report, countless warm articles of clothing, gloves, hand warmers, heaters, you name it and you can get it to stay warm. IT'S ALSO ONLY 41 DEGREES AT KICKOFF! That isn't cold! It's perfect football weather.

Weather is not an excuse as to why you got boat raced, just say you're a bad team with no real leadership right now and came out unprepared and hungover from the win last week, say anything other than saying the cold had your team in a chokehold. Credit Jayden Daniels and the Commanders for toughing it out in that brutal 40 degree weather, not sure how they did it. Didn't hear any of the 49ers say that after playing in inches of snow last night, but man that weather in Landover had mind control over the Titans. That is an excuse bad teams give, they look for any reason to say "Well, we were off because of this." It's laughable.

Maybe Brownlee said it because he's a rookie and didn't really know what else to say, but that is a gross look. It's laughable. And then when asked about it today back in Nashville, head coach Brian Callahan said it was colder during practice last week than it was during the game!

I know he said he's from Florida but come on man, can't use weather as an excuse. Weather didn't put you down 28-0 early on, and if it did I suggest asking for a trade to a warm weather city or a dome team. Bad news for Brownlee and the other cold Titans, it's only going to get colder coming up. May even have some snow in some of the games in Nashville, he's already used the "too cold" excuse for a 41 degree game, can't break that one out again. These aren't the Titans we grew up with, can't picture Steve McNair complaining about it being cold. RIP Steve.
