'College Football Is Meant To Have Rivalries. Let The Boys Play' - Baker Mayfield Had The Only Logical Take When It Comes To People Losing Their Minds Over Flag Planting

Big weekend for flags. Couldn't go one game without hearing about a brawl because a team decided to plant a flag (or trident) on a logo. Here's the highlights:

I don't know when everyone got together over the week to decide this would be a thing, but good. You win, you celebrate. Fuck outta here with anyone getting upset about it when there's an easy solution. Win. Win at home. That's all you have to do. We're not asking for miracles here, hell in some cases you're talking about 3-score favorites. Can't imagine blowing a game at home when you're that big of a favorite. But let's go back to the original flag planting here. The guy who started it all:

And what do you know, the man is still right. College sports is built on hate and rivalries. It's not a one-day thing, it's a lifetime if you have a rival. You don't waste any moment to make fun of a rival, no matter the sport, no matter the time. You don't get to call Texas soft for freaking out over horns down and then do the same when a team plants a flag on your logo. Hilarious that these dudes cross a line there. Again, it's simple, win. This is what sports is supposed to be. Winners and losers, talking your shit and backing it up.

Let the boys play. There should be no one freaking out over a flag plant. Freak out over the loss. Freak out because your team chokes in big moments and can't beat a rival. Also bring this to more sports. I need teams planting stuff at midcourt, the pitcher's mound, whatever it might be. Let your rivals know who won, it's rule number 1 in college sports.

PS: If you want to remind your rivals that you won, here you go. 20% off all day today for one last time:
