A Ridiculous Buzzer Beater, Double OT And All Played In A Ballroom - St. John's/Baylor Was The Perfect Feast Week College Hoops Game

That right there is why you watch these MTE's, Feast Week, whatever you want to call it. Baylor down 18 at one point, looked like they were going to win it in OT at any point really, before St. John's came back and then the buzzer beater. Correction, a buzzer beater after a missed free throw. There was a chance to seal it or at least not lose and then this happened.

All I know is that was a perfect game in November. Don't get me wrong, there was plenty of dumb moments and plays. But this game was in a ballroom in the Bahamas. What do you expect? It's why these games are awesome. Two ranked teams playing in a ballroom is part of the college basketball experience. Not to mention you have VJ Edgecombe, the future top-10 pick, playing back home in the Bahamas. He had a chance to win in the game and missed at the buzzer. I know he doesn't care, it's a win and they get to play Tennessee/Virginia tomorrow. I say we make these two teams run it back. These are two fun teams, that's what we want to see.

Poor Rick Pitino man. That dude just wanted a win, take a drink to his postgame press conference and move onto tomorrow. Now he's gotta deal with this. He'll still bring a drink to the postgame press conference, he's in the Bahamas. All I know is that game was awesome. And, yes, this game matters. These are the games you win and then in March you have it on your resume, that simple. Give us more ballroom games.
