Eagles Fans Show Growth And Maturity By Chanting "Thank You, Giants" While Saquon Was On The TNF Set
Oh what was that? But everything I've been told is that Philly fans are a bunch of scumbags who don't even deserve to live. That this fanbase is grotesque and sub-human.
Seems to me like a pretty mature group of upstanding citizens who want to pass on a message of appreciativeness and grace. We are tremendously thankful to the New York Giants for letting the greatest running back on the planet walk out of their building and onto Lincoln Financial Field. Philly fans just want to let Joe Schoen know how much of a great job we think he's doing, and that we'll always have a special place in our heart for that little dipshit.
Think about where this season would be right now if Joe Schoen just did his job and held onto the best player the Giants have had in over a decade. It wasn't his money they would have had to use to keep Saquon. It was John Mara's money. The man who walked into his office and said he'd spend the next 4 years shitting himself in bed every night if Saquon ended up wearing an Eagles jersey. That happens and now Saquon Barkley goes off for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns against a division rival on Thursday Night Football. You'd think that was some special statline, but it was only his 4th best performance of the season.
146 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns against the Commanders. 147 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns against New Orleans. 159 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown against Jacksonville. And then his biggest day of the season was back at MetLife Stadium where he had 176 yards on 17 carries.
1,137 yards on the year so far and he currently leads the lead in rushing. He'd probably have twice as many touchdowns, too, if it weren't for the Tush Push. Every time he wants to score a touchdown, he needs to take off for 20+ yards.
But again, kudos to Eagles fans for making sure the New York Giants know how grateful we all are. If you have any Giants fans in your life, make sure to thank them this weekend. We are witnessing something special here every single week, and it's all because they were gracious enough to just let the best running back on the planet walk for free. Joe Schoen is a saint, and should be treated as such.
