A Woman Is Going Viral For Having To Cancel Her Honeymoon After Her 270 Guest Wedding "Only Gave $3,000 In Cash" Including One Person Who Gave $10

Let me start off by saying that I love the Twitter for you page. I'm no where in the target market for "wedding groups", which I assume are just Facebook posts where aspiring bride-to-be's just gather around in a circle and complain about shit, but somehow this made it to my Twitter algorithm. Thank you Elon!

And with that being said, am I crazy for thinking that $3,000 was not that low of an amount? Don't people give physical gifts anyway by buying you all those cute little trinkets you want for your house that you throw on your registry? I wasn't a finance major in college but spending $60,000 on a wedding and not being able to afford your honeymoon if you don't recoup $10,000 seems like bad math to me. Sounds like a trip to Vegas would have stretched that $60k out a lot further and yielded the same marital status anyway.

Somewhere along the way we lost the idea of affordable weddings, best described by Barstool's own Grinnelli who is going through this exact situation right now:

They weren't allowing them to bring some free and delicious Pink Whitney? Insanity.

Anyway, what I will say about this entire situation is that I think you have to de-friend whoever gave you $10 in a wedding card. Did you invite a complete stranger to come hang out for the day or something? If you are willingly spending a college football Saturday to attend someone's wedding, and you're throwing in a TENNER like you're buying lunch from the halal cart then I have no words. They quickly found out that weddings are not ROI events, and that if you're expecting them to pay for your honeymoon, then good luck Charlie, but what an insanely bad friend. Here's a $10 Barstool store gift card for your big day. Enjoy!

P.S. Remember when Mintzy went to the wrong country club and crashed the wedding reception of complete randos? The best.
