Lil Weezyana Fest (Lil Wayne’s Own Festival) Looked Awesome. The Hot Boyz Reunited And Wayne Told The Crowd "The Super Bowl Was Ripped Away From Him"

Rolling Stone - As promised, Hot Boys — the rap supergroup of Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Turk, and B.G. — reunited in full for the first time in over 15 years at Wayne’s Lil WeezyAna Festival Saturday in New Orleans.

According to the New Orleans Times-Pecayune, the reunion set lasted about 22 minutes, and featured the group’s turn-of-the-millennium hits like “Get Your Roll On,” “I Need a Hot Girl,” and “Neighborhood Superstar,” where the Hot Boys were joined by Big Tymers’ Mannie Fresh and Birdman. Each member also delved into their own catalogs, with Juvenile performing his “Back That Azz Up” and B.G. leading his “Bling Bling.”

Lil Wayne later staged his own solo set, where he reportedly once again remarked about being passed over for the New Orleans-hosted Super Bowl halftime show in favor of Kendrick Lamar. “I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my ass off to get that position and it was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me,” he told the crowd Saturday.

This is pretty sad. Lil Wayne commented on social media a few weeks ago about how bullshit Jay Z and the NFL's decision to go with Kendrick Lamar at this year's Super Bowl in New Orleans, but I didn't think he was this upset

But I'm here for it.

I hope Wayne continues to let the hate flow through his veins and this bubbles over and turns into him and Jay Z going back and forth. 2 of the greatest of all time (legitimately) going back and forth over some diss records would be monumental.

As far as this festival went, seemed like a pretty awesome show to be at.

Lil Wayne put this on for his hometown, promised the reunion of the group that put Cash Money on the map, and delivered.

All on the same weekend, making the anniversary, 25 years to the day he dropped his debut album-

Nothing better than New Orleans rap cd covers from that era.
