Tennessee Hockey Broadcaster Deserves A Shot In The NHL After This Vicious Boom Roast
Great moments are born from great opportunity. And when you're calling play-by-play for the Tennessee club DIII hockey team, there aren't a ton of chances that are thrown your way. You might only get one chance, so you better make the most of it. Unfortunately, most people don't.
But this broadcaster? Whoever this kid is? Well he's a star. When you're that good, it's only a matter of time before you get yourself notice. And one of the best ways to get noticed is by boom roasting the everliving shit out of the Kennesaw State University hockey team. Roasted them so hard the program might just have to fold.
"What does KSU and the Titanic have in common? They both look bad when they hit the ice".
After doing some investigative work (googling Tennessee's schedule), it looks like the Vols beat KSU 10-3 the night before. So I'm sure this broadcaster was cooking that line up all night. I'm sure he thought of it as he was laying in bed the night before, wishing he had thought about it earlier to break out during the game and just praying that he'd have another opportunity. So when the Vols doubled KSU up 6-3 the next night, it was go time.
Great set up. Great delivery. Stuck the landing, and then quickly got right out of there while he was still on top. That's a pro's pro right there. All I'm saying is the TNT studios are in Atlanta. That's a quick 3 hour drive from Knoxville. I think the kid earned himself a PTO with the TNT crew. Maybe give him a 10-game tryout before deciding if you're going to send him back down or not. If Leah Hextall can be on an NHL broadcast then there's no doubt in my mind that this fella can as well.
