Redemption: After Getting Benched And Being Called The Worst #1 Pick Ever, Bryce Young Is Starting For The Panthers Again
First things first, hope Andy Dalton and his family are all okay after a car accident:
But now we're back with Bryce Young starting. I'm sure this will all go well, not like Bryce Young got benched for being flat out awful. I actually don't hate the idea of starting him again at some point this season. I stand by the fact the Panthers should trade him. Get whatever for him, it won't be much, but get something. Let another team try to fix him. We've all said it before, we've all seen the bust or bad player and figure if he has a second chance here, he'll figure it out!
And he gets to do this against the Broncos? Have fun with that. That defense is legit. They are going to try and tee off on him and get in his head roughly 1 snap into the game. Then again, what does Young have to lose? He already hit rock bottom. He got benched while everyone basically agrees the trade the Panthers made for him is the worst in NFL history. He was relegated to scout team quarterback and got praised for pretending to be Jayden Daniels. That's what your number 1 pick is doing! So, yeah, rock bottom has been hit. What's another loss to the Broncos if it happens? Bryce Young is used to losing with the Panthers.
I want to know what happens if Young plays well or if the Panthers win this game. Do they stick with him now for the rest of the season? Are they just going to switch back and forth based on a couple of weeks of games? I know you can't truly tank in football, but it feels like the Panthers should just be doing that. Either way, redemption starts on Sunday.
