Has Taylor Swift Cursed The Indianapolis Colts Season? The Data Says Yes.
WTHR - Erin Bangel, a third-grade teacher at Clarks Creek Elementary in Plainfield, and Stefanie Husenjovic, who teaches kindergarten have used Colts games as part of their lesson plans for years. A pair of self-described Swifties, Bangel and Husenjovic added a new graph this year to celebrate Swift's Indianapolis tour stop. While the teachers are hoping each week to celebrate both a Colts win and a Swift sighting, a pattern has emerged this season. "We've seen a big trend in data. If Taylor goes to a Chiefs game, the Colts lose," Bangel said. "If she doesn't go, the Colts win."
Swift was in her suite cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs the first two weeks of the season, while Indianapolis fell to 0-2. While Taylor missed the next two games, the Colts won back-to-back games over Chicago and Pittsburgh to even their record at 2-2. A week later, Swift was back in Kansas City, but the Colts came up just short in Jacksonville. Last week, Indianapolis got back in the win column, but the Chiefs had a bye week, which meant no game for Swift.
The biggest problem with the Indianapolis Colts isn't Gus Bradley's soft defensive schemes, Chris Ballard not bringing in the right pieces, or even injuries to key players - nope. The Colt's biggest problem is Taylor Swift showing up to games, lovingly showing support for her boyfriend.
Nothing but respect for these selfless educators shaping the young malleable minds of future lawyers and doctors while also crunching the numbers and getting to the root of the real problem the Colts are facing this season. At first I thought this was surely a coincidence, but then I started to see the data for myself.
The Colts won on Sunday vs the Dolphins, and Taylor was nowhere near the 49ers/ Chiefs game. It's all starting to make sense, what's wrong with Indianapolis has nothing to do with the consequences of their own actions, it's whether or not the biggest pop star on the rearranges the cosmos with her black magic.
This Sunday, the hardest working woman in show biz will be doing a concert in NOLA, while the Chiefs are in Vegas, and the Colts are in Houston. If the below average Colts somehow find a way to win beat the Super Bowl contender Texans, I will have no choice but to believe that this is 100% more than a coincidence. Which means when Taylor goes to Indianapolis in 2 weeks to perform at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Colts need to do everything in their power to stop her from leaving. This will be difficult due to to the fact that the Colts can't stop anyone this season, but whatever money Jim Irsay was going to spend on saving that whale that was stuck in captivity last off season, he needs to put towards figuring out a plan to save the season by keeping T-Swift away from Chiefs games.
You heard it here first, these are the important stories that Taylor Watch doesn't cover.
