Army Football Is Very Good And It's About Time People Started Noticing
My esteemed colleague, Mr. Bosco, already blogged this on Saturday but given that college gameday can be a blur for most with all the games being played, I figured I would show it again. Why? Simply, it was that good.
Sure, stiff arms happen every weekend. However, are they ever this vicious? No. Do they always happen on touchdown runs on a team's first play? No. Are they executed by a player dubbed "Captain America" by his teammates? Never...until this past weekend.
Folks, if you haven't been paying attention, Army is a very good team this year. So much so that all the people with AP votes finally put their bias aside and put them where they belong inside the top 25 on Sunday.
Don't look now but Army is good and I've been trying to tell everyone.
I'm not taking anything away from anyone else in the country, but to not have Daily in your He13man conversation would just be silly (looking at you Brandon Walker).
Daily is the #1 QB in Rushing and Rushing TDs in the country. His team is undefeated. The last 3 games he hasn't even seen the field in the 4th quarter.
We are only half way through the year and I know he personally isn't concerned with individual accolades. He would rather talk about his O-Line and entire team playing well but just keep an eye on him because one thing is not up for debate - he is the toughest QB in the country and that run is just a glimpse as to why. He's also very clearly a great leader and excellent football player.
The back half of the season is about to get very interesting.
