Forecaster Frank NFL Week 6 Picks: Turning Leafs
Last week, I posted a 7-6-1 record, bringing my season mark to 39-36-3.
Thursday Night
- SF -3.5 (o/u 49.5)
- 49ers 27 Seahawks 16
At a certain point, the 49ers are going to wake up. Last week, they dropped to 2-3, blowing a ten-point lead in the fourth quarter for the second time. The Seahawks have lost two straight after starting 3-0. The winner of this game will get a leg up in the NFC West. Look for the Niners to get back on track.
Sunday in London
- Jax +2.5 (o/u 44.5)
- Jaguars 27 Bears 20
The Jaguars are in their home away from home, playing London. These games seem to bring the best out of the team. The Bears have shown steady improvement, but for a rookie playing overseas, it can be a tough task.
Sunday at 1
- Was +6.5 (o/u 51.5)
- Ravens 27 Commanders 23
Through five games, no quarterback has been more impressive than Jayden Daniels. The second overall pick is completing more than 3/4 of his passes, as the Commanders have had the best offense in the NFL. They may not win this game up the road in Baltimore, but they certainly will be in the game for 60 minutes.
- GB -5 (o/u 47.5)
- Packers 24 Cardinals 13
Both teams have had their ups and downs this season. Jordan Love appears to be getting back on track after his Week 1 injury. Look for the Packers to win this game easily, as Love outduels Kyler Murray in Lambeau.
- Hou -7 (o/u 38.5)
- Texans 31 Patriots 10
The only group who looks worse in Patriots uniforms are the actors in the Aaron Hernandez miniseries. This one will not be getting rave reviews in Foxboro.
- TB -3.5 (o/u 41.5)
- Buccaneers 27 Saints 10
Thoughts are with the people of Tampa as they feel the effects of Hurricane Milton. The Buccaneers left town early to prepare for this week's game. Expect them to give their fans a win as they face the Saints with backup quarterback Spencer Rattler.
- Cle +9.5 (o/u 42.5)
- Eagles 23 Browns 16
Eventually, the Browns will realize that a change is needed at quarterback, as Deshaun Watson is not working out. The Eagles have had their disappointments and should win the game, but it will not be an easy win.
- Ind +2.5 (o/u 43.5)
- Colts 20 Titans 13
The Colts are hopeful Anthony Richardson can start on Sunday against their AFC South rivals. It won't matter as even Joe Flacco can beat the Titans.
Sunday Late Games
- LAC -3 (o/u 35.5)
- Chargers 20 Broncos 16
The Broncos have played well behind a stout defense, but after a bye week, the Chargers will come in refreshed and end their two-game losing streak.
- Pit -3 (o/u 36.5)
- Steelers 13 Raiders 9
The Raiders have made a change at quarterback as Aiden O'Connell will start in place of Gardner Minshew. If Justin Fields continues to struggle, the Steelers may soon do the same. Look for a defensive battle, with the Steelers slipping by.
- Atl -6 (o/u 46.5)
- Falcons 38 Panthers 13
Coming off a dramatic Thursday night win over the Buccaneers, the Falcons need to be on guard of a letdown against the lowly Panthers. Expect a big game from Kirk Cousins as the Falcons get another divisional win.
- Dal+3 (o/u 52.5)
- Cowboys 27 Lions 24
The roller coaster, the Cowboys, suggests they are due for a big win that will have their fans feeling a Super Bowl is at hand. This is that win, as the Cowboys' schedule of wins and losses always runs the same script, with big wins in October.
Sunday Night
- Cin -3.5 (o/u 47.5)
- Bengals 31 Giants 20
Joe Burrow has found his groove, even as the Bengals sit at 1-4 with a porous defense. The good news is Daniel Jones can make even the worst defenses look good, especially in primetime games, where he has often been at his worst.
Monday Night
- Buf -2.5 (o/u 40.5)
- Bills 24 Jets 13
The Jets have fired coach Robert Saleh after losing their last two games. Aaron Rodgers clearly was not on the same page and likely had a hand in the decision. The Bills, coming off a loss, will keep the Jets in a ground stop as they get back on track while the Jets' woes continue.
