Welcome To The NFL In 2024 - We Had An Entertaining Game, History Made, Awesome Plays And All People Can Talk About Is How The Refs Fucked Up Again

I'm doing my normal Tuesday routine of just reading up on things across the league. Maybe I missed something, see what's going on and if anyone is trying to tank and ruin the Giants draft stock. Instead, I'm seeing the same old story. How the refs completely fucked up the Seahawks/Lions game. Let me correct that - how the refs completely fucked up the awesome Seahawks/Lions game. We had unreal plays all of the place:

We finally had an entertaining game in primetime. We finally had a game where the offenses were humming and all the names we know we're doing positive things. That's a big upgrade compared to what we've been watching early this season. However, the same old story came up. The refs ruined the game. Every tweet I see that has the most interaction? Missed calls, wrong calls, not using replay right. You had the Seahawks 2-point conversion:

You had this missed call:

There was an offsides call on the Lions on this play. It legit looked like the refs just stopped caring because they thought the play was over. I mean you're staring right at it and then basically forgot what was happening. There was also the OPI call:

That's not why the Seahawks lost the game, but it's why they had to punt down 8. That was a first down. Bang-bang plays happen all the time, the problem is the refs are never consistent with anything. That's ultimately what it comes down to. If you want to call the game tight, fine, call it tight the entire way so players have to adjust. You want to let them play? Good, that's what we all want. Let them play all the time. But the back and forth bullshit is the problem. Hell, they couldn't even decide if this was a touchdown by St. Brown.

You can see the nodding, but they never made a call. Joe Buck was left confused. Troy Aikman had no idea if they called a touchdown or not while the extra point was going on. The NFL knows they have us by the balls. We all sit down every Thursday, Sunday, Monday (sometimes Friday and Saturday) and watch these games. Just give us one good game without some sort of controversy.
