Robert Iler Did Stardom Right

Today’s episode of KFC Radio is a great interview with Robert Iler! It’s an interview that touches on everything from his time on The Sopranos, getting recognized for things that have absolutely nothing to do with The Sopranos, and a hilarious story about why he got kicked off of Hinge.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Robert Iler has done the whole celebrity thing better than anyone else in that world ever has. He’s in the absolute sweet spot when it comes to being famous.

He took care of business with The Sopranos in his teenage years until he was about 22, and then basically said peace out to the acting world virtually entirely minus a few one off appearances on shows here and there.

The perfect career to me is one where you have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life once your run is over, you get the perks of being famous without getting mobbed every time you go out, and you come out on the other side as normal of a person as you came in as. Check, check, and check for Robert Iler. He did all of this by the time he was 22! Meanwhile I at 22 just got out of a class where I had to tell the group one interesting think about myself.

Him and Frankie Muniz are the two that come to mind for the ideal route when it comes to fame. Robert does a podcast he enjoys doing now, and Frankie Muniz is racing cars.

Rob deserves it too because having to go on the Atkins diet at 13 is TOUGH.

He quite literally would go home everyday to no fuckin’ ziti (credit to the IG comments for that one) after playing the son of an Italian-American mob boss all day. That’s rough. Imagine Uncle Paulie's reaction to hearing this news...he'd be distraught.

The full interview with Robert was fantastic so be sure to give it a listen!
