Hockey With Strictly Goalies On The Ice Is The Sport Of The Future

It's been a brutal 10-15 years or so for hockey goalies everywhere. They had a great thing going when the likes of Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, and Dominik Hasek were all between the pipes. That was the golden age for tendies everywhere. But over the years, the game has gotten so much faster and so much more skilled. Instead of kids growing up wanting to be the next Marty, you had guys like Pavel Datsyuk and Patrick Kane inspire a new generation of players who want to mercilessly bully goalies any chance they get.

Social media is flooded with highlight accounts that post some of the sickest goals you ever did see. Goalies are getting abused every which way. There was a time when guys would simply just shoot the puck into the back of the net. But that's not enough anymore. Nowadays they need to dangle the goalie's dick off and have him flailing around the ice like a fish out of water before putting the puck in the back of the net.

Fact of the matter here is that goalies need to start getting in on some of the action. They can't just stand there between the pipes and continue to take all that abuse. They need to start dishing out a little of their own, even if that means they need to commit some goalie-on-goalie crime. Personally I think you should throw a skater in net without a bucket on, but in the meantime just going 6v6 with nothing but goalies on the ice should do the trick.
