One Hell Of A Day For Detroit's Power Couple: Jared Goff Gets A $212 Million Extension, Christen Harper Teases Her SI Swimsuit Issue Announcement

I said it in yesterday's blog, but it's worth mentioning. Jared Goff is up there on the shortlist of people you say right away in terms of trading lives with. Dude just got a $212 million extension, highest paid player in Lions history. He's won over an entire city and will be beloved in Detroit for the rest of his life because of that run to the NFC title game a year ago. He found a place that embraces him and outside of NFC North teams, no one is cheering against the Lions. 

But if life couldn't be better after getting a couple hundred million dollars to your name, your soon-to-be wife decided to tease a little announcement. 

I'll be honest, I'm pretty sure the only thing with Sports Illustrated still going or the only time we hear about them is the swimsuit issue. Apparently it's the 60th anniversary of the swimsuit issue, which means it's time to bring out some legends. One of them is, of course, Christen Harper. 

Power couple. Doesn't matter how you split it, they are a power couple and arguably America's couple. I know everyone is talking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, but we gotta talk about Goff and Harper more. Goff is living the ideal life as a QB1. Hell he even got his top receiver and best offensive lineman back with him at the Lions. Dude has the entire city chanting his name wherever he goes. Make all the jokes about Detroit you want, but this is exactly what you dream of as a quarterback.
