The Orioles Unleash An A+ Troll On The Yankees After Their Broadcast Team And Fans Throw A Pissy Fit Over The Great Wall Of Baltimore
Who would have known that a 379 foot fly ball would trigger an entire fanbase and broadcasting team? Oswaldo Cabrera flew out to semi deep left center on Monday night in Baltimore and boy oh boy did some people have an issue with it. Obviously the Orioles moved their wall back years ago, it's not new. But all of a sudden the Yankees and their fans seem to have an issue with it. That ball was hit 379 feet and would have been a homer in 6 of 30 parks. 6 OF 30! And Yankee Stadium wasn't even one of those 6. Michael Kay takes his little shot on the broadcast while eating his sour grapes which was very cute, but you have to get over it. We had fans calling it UNSAFE!!! Meanwhile, old Yankee Stadium literally had stone monuments in play in CF. But moving the wall back deeper is unsafe? Makes sense. Also, maybe hit the ball farther than 379 feet? Lift weights? Consider steroids? A push up or 2? Any of those could have made that a home run but sure, keep blaming the wall. The Yankees used to be a proud franchise, now they are the only team complaining about Walltimore. Blue Jays fans don't do it, Red Sox fans don't do it, Rays fans don't have a fan under 70 so they don't know they moved the wall back, it's only the Yankees and their fans who do it.
The wall was changed in 2022, it's the third season of this so why is it a surprise now? Why are you still crying about it? Every single tweet I saw online was 22 year old Yankee fans with last names in their avi complaining about the wall. Sorry the Orioles saw a chance to make their team better by adjusting the wall and they did it. Maybe consider doing it to your sandbox up in the Bronx too? Fisher Price right field up there, guessing the Yankees probably would benefit from moving that wall back a little bit too. No one likes 289 feet right field home runs. The amount of complaints I saw about the wall was just incredible, I could taste the tears from here. It's also funny that Yankees fans are furious over it, they play 6 or 7 games there every year! The Orioles play 81 times a year here and are leading baseball in home runs. They hit more homers at home than on the road! Shut those greasy New York pie holes about walls and fences and fly outs. But my favorite part of all of this is the Orioles being able to retrieve the ball from Cabrera's historic tear inducing fly ball and they put it on sale with a great description of what happened to that ball.
That's right, you could have been the rightful owner of this historic ball for the low price of just $50. You read that correct, the ball that would have been a home run 3 years ago could be the masterpiece of your home collection. This is the pettiness I love. The Yankees announcers and fans want to cry for a full day about it? Let's put it on sale. This is a new Orioles team, John Angelos isn't here anymore, Rube runs things now. You see a chance to absolutely dunk on Yankee fans and make some cash, you do it. It actually doesn't really matter who the owners is, you kick the Yankees when you can. Seems like the Orioles have kicked them a lot lately. Rivalries are better when there is petty shit going on and this is a perfect move. Just an embarrassing performance from the people who were legit losing their minds over this, but if you can't get over it you could always buy the ball and remember what could have been. They used to win championships and have parades and be respected, now they cry about fences. Steinbrenner is rolling over in his grave.
