'I Don't Give A Fuck About What He Said' - Josh Hart Shut Paul Reed's Nonsense Up Fast, Love That This Series Is Getting Fueled By Hate
Paul Reed went ahead yesterday and declared he wanted to play the Knicks because they are the easier team. Fine. But you know what that's going to do? Piss the Knicks off. Even better for us Knicks fans. That's why I love Josh Hart saying this. I want him to say Paul Reed doesn't fucking matter. He can say whatever he wants, he's just gonna get a quick shut up from the Knicks side. They aren't engaging in the war of words and rightfully so.
What I love even more? The fact that this series is being built on hate. We need it in sports, especially the playoffs. The Sixers and Knicks should hate each other. I don't know if it's the fact I grew up surrounded by Sixers fans or just the fact they are in the division or what, but I despise the Sixers. I assume most Knicks fans feel the same way. It's also felt like forever since we really got to hate the Sixers in a meaningful way.
I keep saying it, I want 90s ball. I want the Knicks to beat the hell out of Joel Embiid and dare him to give us a suck it. I want the refs to get out of the way and let it be a physical game. That's how the Sixers will crumble. Embiid will hunt fouls and Mitch/Hartenstein will just body him for 48 minutes. If we get 90s ball, Knicks win this easily. I don't care if the games are played in the 80s too. Low scoring is just fine for us.
Again, get this buddy-buddy shit out of here. This is the playoffs. I want the Knicks to hate anyone and everyone that they play. I want them to feel like they need to rip their hearts out. It's the way sports are supposed to be. I want fans screaming at each other, shit talking during games, give me a kerfuffle too while we're at it. Play the better song.
