A Reason To Believe: Tiger Woods With A Perfect Birdie On Hole 1 At The Masters Is The Most Beautiful Sight Of The Tournament
As you get older you realize there's almost nothing to believe in. Santa? That's long gone, in fact you're likely playing Santa these days. Hope for your teams? Not unless you're a UConn or Chiefs fan. Everything else is just despair, misery and likely getting your heart ripped out. There was a time when Tiger was something more than belief. If he was playing, you could just wake up and know that he'd be in contention.
Obviously age and injuries happened. The last time we saw Tiger playing golf he took a WD due to illness.
But now we're at Augusta. We're at the most gorgeous golf course in America. We're at THE tournament in America. And what do we have off the tee? Fairway.
We'll ignore the drive on 2 which just happened as I blog this. No, this is a blog for belief and hope. Probably why he hit a perfect shot that started to look like this:
There's nothing like Tiger being in contention at the Masters. Look at the crowd! Everyone wants to believe in another run. The man was willing to hold out on sex for one more run. That's dedication. Probably why he went fairway-dart to about 8 feet-biride.
But like I said, this is the most beautiful sight in all of golf. Tiger with the crowd, the 'fore please' announcement and a birdie. We're under par and believing.
