Tyrese Maxey And Joel Embiid Are The First Teammates In NBA HISTORY To Each Record Over Three 50+ Burger Games In A Season

It took 2 OTs vs one of the worst teams in the league to get there, but the Sixers secured the win in San Antonio while Tyrese Maxey went absolutely buck wild. Again. 52 points, 7 assists, 5 boards, +14 overall. Impressive. And that's just two games after our Prince went for 37, 11 dishes, 9 rebounds, and +26 in the most important contest of the year vs. the Heat. The man is a menace. Our menace. Now him and the MVP Embiid are the first teammates in NBA HISTORY to each have over three 50+ burgers in a single season. Jordan and Pippen. Malone and Stockton. Magic and Kareem. Kobe and Shaq. Iverson and Todd McCullough. Curry and Klay or Durant. Nope. Nobody has done this shit before. Also, Embiid also has missed over half the season while putting up a 70 spot in one of those 50+ games, too. Think about that.

Or not. It don't matter. Cause the Sixers don't care. They've admitted they're in win-now, cuthroat mode heading into the playoffs and it's certainly showing on the hardwood. That's now 5 victories in a row with no slowing down in sight. Embiid is healthy. Maxey is the Prince that was promised. And Nick Nurse is coaching his balls to the bone. I mean, could you ever, EVER imagine the coach formerly known as Glenn calling up a play like this? My point exactly.

Pure basketball beauty.

5 game winning streak. Sixers hold the 7 seed and are exactly 1 game behind the Pacers (2 games behind the #5 Cavs if you really wanna get spicy and someway, somehow only 3.5 behind the #2 seed Bucks - Seriously). 3 games left. All at home. Let's get out of the play-in and step forth towards destiny.

CUE IT.
