A Clip Is Going Viral Of A Kid Gifting Popular Streamer Kai Cenat His Family Prized Possession Kobe Bryant Gifted Basketball
Listen, I like Kai Cenat and think it's greatly underestimated how powerful streamers are these days. They're legitimate A list celebrities and clips like this prove it, where they show up to a country like Taiwan and kids are giving what would be a family heirloom for centuries to come just to meet their favorite Internet personality. Like it or not, they're these kids superheroes and meeting them is commensurate with meeting Kobe Bryant to me as a kid.
But part of this also feels wrong, and that's not to say that the streamer is in the wrong there. In the full clip, he did feel really bad and ask him a billion times if he really wanted to gift something that valuable:
Good on him for making him feel welcome and inviting him to lunch, but now this kid is the laughing stock of Twitter for giving up his family's prized possession. Maybe I'm just a diehard Kobe fan and that ball would be legitimately priceless to me, but you gotta wonder what his parents are going to say when they go looking for that in a few months to show at a family gathering. Meme away Internet..
