Grant Williams Was Traded By The Mavericks For "Yapping" Too Much And Being Out Of Shape

I couldn't believe this wasn't the fake NBA Central account that sometimes goes viral. The first player to ever get traded for yapping too much is Grant Williams....just amazing. The most 2024 headline I've ever seen.

For those looking for some background: Grant Williams was a part of a sign-and-trade this summer shipping him to Dallas from Boston.

His time in Dallas has not been great. His minutes played dropped throughout the season, from 28 minutes a game in November to 22 in January. His overall averages were right on par with his ones in Boston, but it was clear he did not gell well with the Mavs. 

On top of all of this, Grant got fed up with the Mavs, so he switched to wearing Jayson Tatum's shoes. 

I think this is a hilarious move from Grant. Almost have to respect how petty it is. 

He was shipped off to the Charlotte Hornets, where he's actually been playing pretty well. 

The Hornets were a hilarious team pre-trade deadline. Nobody, outside of Brandon Miller, cared. They were an adult AAU team who would lose by 15 a night with a smile on their face.
