Grit: Frank Ragnow Is Confirmed The Toughest Man In Football After Seeing Him Claim It's 'Worth It' To Play Through Injuries From This Brutal Hit

I know I'm not a football player let alone one who would be on the line. I'm simply a blogger. I'm simply a man who sees sprained knee and sprained ankle and would put myself on IR for an entire year. Shit, you don't even need to diagnose me with a sprained knee and ankle, I get rolled up on like that? I'm quitting on the spot.

But that's the difference between me and Frank Ragnow. Well, that, the millions of dollars, the size, the heart, the hair, the good looks (you pick who) and of course this sort of grit.

[Source] - “To me, the pain, I’m not trying to sound like some brute tough guy here, but it’s more frustrating than anything,” Ragnow said. “The fact that it’s just again, you know? It was tough. But it was worth it.”

Pain is just frustrating. What a quote. Basically took a page out of Shane Falco here except he's a real football player.

That not enough? How about this line?

I just take a lot of pride in being out there with the guys, being out there for the city. They signed me to the extension a few years ago, and I want to be fulfilling that. I don’t want to be the guy who gets paid and is not doing that stuff. I want to be out there, and finding a way to win.”

Dude just wanted to be out there because he signed a contract. We make fun of guys (mostly looking at you, NBA players) who sit out after signing a massive deal and for the first time in what feels like a long time we actually get to talk positively about it. He just wants to be out there. He wants to be there for the guys. He wants to play.

Oh and not only did he keep on playing, he made plays like this:

I don't care if you're a pro on the offensive line, you go out there banged up and make plays like that you deserve praise. It's fitting for the Lions too. Again, I know it's talked about all the time, but you don't think Dan Campbell has a role in this? That dude does nothing but talk about how gritty the Lions have to be. Frank Ragnow took that literally and ended up being a major reason why the Lions are finally in the NFC Championship game.

Can't say we're surprised. There's this story about him:

He's even got other lineman coming to near tears for him

Congrats to Frank Ragnow, who is simply the toughest man to ever step foot on a football field. Linemen really are a different breed of crazy and tough, Ragnow is just that.
