The Entire Thunder Organization Pulled Up To Chet Holmgren's HS Jersey Retirement.....Except Josh Giddey
Just a few days ago, Josh Giddey was cleared by Newport Beach Police for any potential criminal charges surrounding an alleged incident with a minor.
The NBA's investigation is still ongoing, but I'm sure the OKC Thunder player was happy to find out that no charges were going to be filed against him. Possibly, this was going to be the end of the news that broke in November 2023.
Then, tonight happened. The jokes that felt like were finished had some more oil poured onto them. The entire Thunder organization pulled up to Chet Holmgren's jersey retirement at a Minnesota high school tonight....except Giddey.
I wonder how they delivered the news to Giddey about this. "Yeah, the whole team, front office, and coaches are going…..but we are gonna have you stay back….you know, because of the whole situation."
Maybe it was an unspoken thing? Giddey just knew he wasn't going to go.
There's nothing Giddey can do in this situation, but you gotta feel a little bit sandbagged by this. A few guys going is whatever, but the whole organization? Really? Then again, the only real person he can blame here is himself.
