"2 Minutes Each For The Excessive Shenanigans" Might Just Be The Best Penalty Call Ever

Being a ref in any professional sport is a tough job. The games are high paced, they are high stakes, and you have to keep track of everything going on out there. Because nobody is ever going to give you a pat on the back for making all the right calls, but they're sure as shit going to be on your ass if you miss any calls.

So sometimes you need to make a judgement call out there. You know the game is getting a little out of hand. Do you just sit back and let it all unfold, or do you step in there and try to take control of the game? It's a fine line that all these refs struggle with. But for Todd Labranche of the National Lacrosse League? He doesn't struggle with it even an ounce. He's going to make sure he's always there to get the right call, even if he needs to make up a call on the spot.

2 minutes each for the excessive shenanigans. The players just can't be doing that out there. You need to limit all the tomfoolery as much as possible. If fuckery is afoot, Todd Labranche is there to put an end to it. A little bit of shenanigans here and there is fine, but you gotta toss the boys in the box once it gets excessive. 2 minutes to feel shame and think about what they've done.

Is it the best call ever? All I'll say is that if it's not, it at least belongs in the conversation with the greats.
