Tom Izzo Is Too Busy Jamming Out On His Accordion To Worry About Pesky Things Like Michigan State Being Historically Awful Right Now
There are a few guarantees about Tom Izzo. He will underachieve with top talent. He will overachieve with a team who everyone thinks will be bad. He will talk about being soft and institute a football practice that sends people into a frenzy. And most importantly he will play the shit out of an accordion, no matter what's going on. I mean you think he looks like a man who is worried about Michigan State being historically awful?
I know it's tradition for him to look like Gus Polinski up there. But, Michigan State is an insane fanbase. You're talking about one of the 10 best programs of all time who is setting records like that above. Hell, this team alone is the worst shooting and rebounding team of any Izzo-coached team. Those are just facts. You don't think there are Michigan State fans screaming about putting down the goddamn accordion and figuring out a way to play Xavier Booker? Still weird to me what's going on there. I mean Booker was a 5-star recruit who was expected to be a starter or at least a contributor on this team. Instead he just doesn't play.
Tough to fire a crowd up here when you have a 4-5 record and getting ready to play Baylor this weekend. That said, we need to use the accordion more in music. Everyone trying to find new beats, new things, strum the shit out of the accordion once in a while. Mix it up. If it works for the Kenosha Kickers it can work for a local band at a bar.
