Remember The Hacks From The Spouse Cheating Website, Ashley Madison? Well Looks Like The Hackers Are Starting To Release The Information

(Source) Well, this should be interesting. Hackers who claim to have stolen data from Ashley Madison, the dating site for cheaters, recently posted nearly 10-gigabytes of said stolen data. That includes member email addresses, credit card transactions, and even profiles. This should be very interesting.

The data can be found on the dark web, and those who’ve already downloaded it say they’re finding all kinds of juicy gossip. (One person searched for British government emails, for instance.) The hackers themselves, however, don’t seem at all miffed about this massive release of purportedly private and possibly damaging information. Because Ashley Madison’s parent company, Avid Life Media, refused the hackers’ demand to take down the site, they don’t think the users deserve privacy.

Calling themselves the Impact Team, the hackers said:

We have explained the fraud, deceit, and stupidity of ALM and their members. Now everyone gets to see their data … Keep in mind the site is a scam with thousands of fake female profiles. See ashley madison fake profile lawsuit; 90-95% of actual users are male. Chances are your man signed up on the world’s biggest affair site, but never had one. He just tried to. If that distinction matters. …

Too bad for those men, they’re cheating dirtbags and deserve no such discretion. Too bad for ALM, you promised secrecy but didn’t deliver.…

Gotta love Ashley Madison not negotiating with terrorists here. Bold strategy when you have millions of adulterers’ private information and are about to ruin thousands and thousands of marriages. My question is two fold though. 1) Does anyone actually feel bad? I mean of course no one wants to watch divorces happen but if you’re going on a website that is most likely all 95% dudes to have sex with a couple women that are not your wife, you’re a scumbag. If you have to cheat on your partner go to Vegas and pay for it or something, everyone knows if you pay for sex it’s not cheating, it’s simply a business transaction, using a website like this and handing over all your private information is the height of stupidity. So you mean the internet isn’t 100% secure at all times, GASP! And 2) If this shit stays in the “deep web” does it even matter that it’s released? I feel like a person who doesn’t have the wherewithal to cheat on their wife without using the world’s largest cheating website probably isn’t in a relationship where either person possesses the brain power to find the deep web. Fuck I live on the internet, it is literally my job, and I still am like one of those ignorant swimmers that thinks where I’m swimming is only 10 feet when in reality it’s thousands of feet deep and there are millions of fucked up creatures below me. If you’re one of these guys I think you just hold off and don’t say anything, hope the deep web stays the deep web and your wife stays searching your Facebook wall and iCloud for scandalous behavior instead. That’s the only play, also maybe stop being a huge scumbag too.
