The Buccaneers Are Playing In Their Creamsicle Uniforms Today And I'm Now A Little Bit Nervous As A Lions Fan
I am not somebody who abides by the belief that the uniforms a team is wearing impact their performance. But this is one of those instances in which I’m making an exception. I’m fully invested in the Detroit Lions now, which means that I am afraid of anything that could be something of a strategic advantage. I know an entire generation hated them, but these Buccaneers uniforms fucking rule.
It seems like everything that was once ugly is pretty now. These Buccaneers uniforms were associated with a time in which the Bucs barely even qualified as an NFL team. The modern day Buccaneers uniforms are pretty dope. They want two Super Bowls in those uniforms for a reason. But sometimes, you have to go back to go forward. I feel like Baker Mayfield was meant to wear these uniforms.
I’m going to run with a conspiracy theory here. The Buccaneers wore these uniforms during their 0-14, and now they decided to bring these uniforms back against the first organization in NFL history to go 0-16. That’s a troll job. It’s the kind of thing that definitely would’ve worked against the Lions in the past, but not today. These Lions are different. Go beat Tampa Bay.
