Austin Reaves Ripping Lefty Irons While Showing Off His Beautiful Golf Swing Is Way More Impressive Than Anything He Does On The Basketball Court

Last season, Austin Reaves essentially took the NBA by storm, and for good reason

He was rewarded for that breakout season with a nice little 4/53M extension that is absolutely a great value contract for LA. Once the ink dried on that deal, Reaves backed up it up by being one of Team USA's best players are the FIBA World Cup. I think at this point we can say that what we saw last year isn't a fluke, the kid can play.

And if his play last year/this summer didn't impress you, may I present this video

First off, Hillbillybogey is fantastic.

In terms of the actual shot, what the hell man. I'm sure there will be some typical golf hardos out there that say this isn't that impressive and blah blah blah, but you won't hear that from me. It's hard enough to hit irons well while hitting them the normal way with the correct-handed club. To take a left-handed club, flip it around, and then still hit the ball that pure? Not fair. That swing? Pretty damn good!

It sure looks like we can add Austin Reaves to the list of NBA players who are also ridiculous at golf which doesn't seem fair at all, joining the likes of Steph Curry

I know Reags has blogged it before and I couldn't agree more. You shouldn't be able to be insanely good at basketball and then also be insanely good at golf. You already have enough, leave some for the rest of us! That just feels like piling on for us normals who could never dream of being this good at either sport.

This just goes to show, professional athletes are simply a different breed of human. I know that's not ground breaking news or anything, but at least for me it doesn't really register until we see them dominating things that us normal people do. Yeah, doing what we've seen from Reaves on the court looks different because that's NBA basketball. Only a small percentage of humans ever get to do that. But we've all been to Top Golf before and I guarantee this looks a thousand times better than anything you've ever done.

If we're being honest, I'm going to need less of these positive Lakers moments. It makes me want to puke saying anything even remotely nice about their team, their offseason, or their players. But you do something like this, I have no choice but to respect it and give credit where credit is due.
